A Pakistani bishop has pledged that the Church will do “everything possible” to secure the release of Farah Hatim, a 24-year-old woman who has been kidnapped, forced to marry, and forced to convert to Islam. Hatim is in danger of being sold abroad, according to local sources.
“We are … in contact with senior police officers to try to unblock this longstanding affair,” said Bishop Andrew Francis of Multan. “I am confident in a positive solution. We have much confidence in God and in the fruits of our prayer.”
