#pakistan pleads USA to secure aid from the IMF
After having failed to secure aid fro the IMF due to its refusal to implement financial reforms it had agreed to earlier, the Islamic Republic of pakistan has turned to its its long-term benefactor & bank-roller of its country, the USA, which itself pays billions of dollars of American tax-payers money to sustain a non-productive pakistan, to use its good office & secure the loan it is currently being refused by the IMF.

#pakistan: Condemned for blasphemy, Christian woman being held in isolation #Jesus #Christianity #Islam
Asia Bibi, the Christian woman condemned to death accused of blasphemy and imprisoned in a Sheikhpura jail in Pakistan for over a year and a half has been moved into an isolation cell. This is according to her husband, Ashiq Masih, who has just visited her.
#pakistan's Extremists Step Up presue to kill Christian woman framed with blasphemy charges #Jesus #Christianity
Supporters of Islamic parties hold party flags and shout slogans as they demand punishment for Aasia Bibi, the Christian woman sentenced to death for blasphemy, at a rally in Karachi last month.
In the weeks since the Punjab governor's assassination on January 4, Islamist extremists have not just ignored all international and domestic criticism of the killing. They have also stepped up their own enforcement of the blasphemy law by accusing one of Pakistan's most prominent civic leaders of violating it.
A summons filed recently in a court in Multan, in southern Punjab, accuses Sherry Rehman of insulting the Prophet Muhammad in a recent television interview. Rehman, a parliament deputy who is also a former cabinet member and senior member of the Pakistan People's Party, denies the charges.
The defense attorney for Aasia Bibi, whose death sentence on blasphemy charges is at the heart of the current deadly struggle over the law, has decided to put off requesting an appeals hearing for his client. That is out of fear passions over her case would explode if her trial reopens now, and it would be impossible to have a fair hearing.
Bibi, a Christian, was accused of blasphemy in June 2009 after an argument erupted over her use of a water pitcher belonging to a Muslim co-worker. She has already spent more than a year in prison waiting for a review of her case by the provincial High Court in Lahore, which historically has overturned all blasphemy death sentences despite the lower courts' readiness to issue them.

#pakistan Bans Movie About Islamabad Youth!
The new Hammad Khan-directed film, Slackistan - which focuses on a group of bored, rich teens living in Islamabad, Pakistan - has been banned by the country's Central Board of Film Censors.
According to reports, they've informed the film's distributor, Mara Pictures, that significant cuts would have to be made to the flick - including removing all dialogue that references the Taliban, Osama Bin Laden, Islamic beards and attire, swears, and the word 'lesbian' - if they want the ban removed, and even then, it would STILL be slapped with an 18+ rating.

Shahbaz Bhatti, a Catholic Christian & the federal government’s minister for religious minorities, is the target of Islamic militants because he supports a change in the nation’s blasphemy law. One Islamic militant group pronounced a “death sentence” on the government official last year. Now active planning for Bhatti’s assassination is underway.
“Pray for me and for my life,” Bhatti asked, tacitly acknowledging the reality of the threat. “I can not not and will not go back on this commitment. I will fight fanaticism and fight in defense of Christians in pakistan to the death.”

#fact Killings of newborn babies on the rise in #pakistan #fail
In the conservative Muslim nation, where the birth of children outside of marriage is condemned and adultery is a crime punishable by death under strict interpretations of Islamic law, infanticide is a crime on the rise.
The infanticide figures are collected only from Pakistan’s main cities, leaving out huge swathes of the largely rural nation.
The death toll is far worse among girls, with nine out of ten dead babies the charity finds being female.
Girls are seen by many Pakistanis as a greater economic burden as most women are not permitted to work and are considered to be the financial responsibility of their fathers, and later their husbands.
A Pakistani family can be forced to raise more than one million rupees (11,700 dollars) to marry their daughter off.
Abortion is prohibited in Pakistan, except when the mother’s life is at risk from her pregnancy, but advocates say that legalisation would reduce infanticide and save mothers from potentially fatal back-street terminations.
The majority of police stations do not register cases of infanticide, let alone launch investigations into them.
Crimes of infanticide are rarely prosecuted.

Chocolates imported by USA from #pakistan contain extremely high levels of toxic Lead - causes brain damage
Toxic Waste, a candy bar maker in Pakistan, has recalled one of their candy bars, the Nuclear Sludge Chew Bar due to dangerous levels of lead being found in them.
The candy bar company is extremely popular not only in the United States but also in other parts of the world.
The levels were around .24 parts per million. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) allows for only .1 parts per million.
This means that the lead content was more than double what the FDA would allow.
All flavors of this particular type of candy bar have been included in the recall.
The cherry flavored bars were said to have the highest lead content out of all of them though.
This would impact all candy bars that were shipped by the company since the year 2007 overall.
The dangerous levels of lead are a high risk to both pregnant women and children.

a disintegrating #pakistan: Choices for US & others #terrorism #Islam
As Pakistan sinks steadily into the pit of political oblivion, it will inevitably drag the US' Afghan policy down the drain with it
Viewed in historical perspective, what is gradually taking place before our eyes is the final consequences of flawed political choices which the emergent Pakistani elites made following the nation's founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah's death in 1948, which were compounded by subsequent regimes
The story of Pakistan is one of 'chickens coming home to roost!'
Over the years the Pakistani public allowed itself to be hijacked by Islamic fundamentalism, partially as a means of coping with its phobic fears of 'Hindu India' and partially because the lack of socio-religious flexibility left religious extremism, and its political extensions, as the sole doctrinal basis for attempting to achieve a politically coherent state.
Islamic fanaticism, conjoined with military authoritarianism, has ripped Pakistan to shreds and soon will provoke its political disintegration. What alternative is left for US, NATO and Indian strategic policy in the face of a Pakistani political meltdown?
The US and its allies, must 'step aside', let the holocaust happen, and try to contain in every way possible its spread beyond Pakistan's borders and the Pashtun region now dominated by the Taliban.
The emergence of a clear division in Pakistan might provide just the sort of shock the Pakistani military apparently needs in order to appreciate the dangers of the game it has been playing for decades.'
Pakistan is only a furtive step away from ceasing to be a viable modern state capable of carrying out its responsibilities as a purported 'non-NATO ally' of the US in the war against the Taliban, Al Qaeda and other jihadi extremists.
In the face of a steadily disintegrating, politically pathological Pakistan state, it is only a matter of time until such a realignment takes place anyway. For US-Pakistan relations, as we have known them, it is indeed the end of the affair.

#pakistan lacks sound security strategy: think tank #terrorism
The nuclear-armed South Asian country has yet to come up with a sound, long-term strategy to tackle militancy.
The United States has been waging war against Taliban militants in Afghanistan for nearly 10 years, but many Western nations consider neighboring Pakistan a bigger threat.
Better coordination among intelligence agencies, capacity building of law enforcement agencies, curbs on terrorism financing, and most importantly, adequate measures to prevent banned militant groups from operating across the country remained persistently lackin.
A sharp rise in U.S. drone strikes also contributed to the decrease in militant attacks.
Sustainable security remains elusive because of the "less than impressive performance of a weak political administration beset by chronic challenges of poor governance.
Instability in Pakistan's biggest city and commercial capital Karachi is a growing concern. Aside from political, ethnic and gang violence, authorities there are confronted with a growing nexus of militant groups who have found safe havens there.

Married couple in #pakistan fake their own kidnapping to extract money from father
Police officials said they had received a report that Jaima Louis William, 24, and her husband, Syed Awais Haider, 25, were abducted at gun-point while at Gulberg in Lahore about a week ago.
Superintendent of Police Umer Virk of the Crime Investigation Agency told PTI that the couple had been recovered safely and police were investigating Haider's role in the drama.
A case has been registered against Haider and two of his friends.
"Actually we have taken Haider and a few of his friends into custody for masterminding the kidnapping drama. Haider made the plan with the help of his friends to extract money from his father," Virk said.
Bears uncanny similarity with the practice of threatening the world by pointing a gun to your own head [if you don'tpay us money give us aid, our country will collapse & our Nukes will go into the hands of the terrorists - so pay us the money..or else!]

#pakistan’s jihad against rationality
In its perpetual bid to re-affirm its Islamic identity & assert its self-proclaimed title of upholders of Islam & self-appointed protectors of Muslim in South Asia, borne out of the insecurity of lacking any cultural or historical Islamic identity, having been converted from Hinduism, almost completely by coercion by Middle-Eastern Islamic invaders, the powerful & influential religious figures in the Islamic Republic of pakistan have taken to associating every pretext & issue with that of threat to Islam, howsoever outrageous & ridiculous, provoking its brainwashed masses, increasing by the day, to resort to actions divorced from reason & rationality, most often with deadly & fatal consequences, taking the country spiraling down into an abyss of religious extremism & intolerance.

#pakistan: To blame the west for the rise of the Taliban is too simplistic #Terrorism
Imran Khan's claim that before the west invaded Afghanistan, Pakistan had no suicide bombers, no jihad and no Talibanisation is inconsistent with the facts. Pakistan had all three.
The Taliban, too, appeared in the region in the middle of 1990, but the political mainsprings behind them, namely Pakistan's ambition to change the balance of power equation on its eastern and western border via state-sponsored terrorism, were long present in the Pakistani body politic. The Afghan war merely provided cash and international support that Pakistan needed to give practical shape to its regional ambition.
The Talibanisation of Pakistan and the threat to its internal stability stem from Islamabad's insistence on employing terrorism as a state policy towards its neighbours, a case of the tail wagging the dog. Mr Khan's attempt to blame the west, under these circumstances, is tantamount to placing the cart before the horse.

Christian women in #pakistan brutally beaten & humuliated by mob of radicalised Islamists #Jesus #Christianity
Christian women were beaten and publically humiliated by an angry mob over apparently frivolous blasphemy allegations and they and their family are now in hiding for fear of being killed. They fear the wrath of the extremists.
the allegations stem from a dispute between Amina, a Muslim, and her sister-in-law Zahira, a Christian, in an East Lahore locality. The two got into an argument on Tuesday night and though it appeared to have been settled, on Wednesday morning, after her husband Zahid had gone to work, Amina walked out onto the street and started shouting that Zahira had abused the Holy Prophet (pbuh).
A short while later, a group of men led by Muhammad Sameer, a member of a religious organisation keen on raising its sectarian profile, forced their way into the house and started slapping Zahira, said another of her brothers, Sohail. “Other men and women from the neighbourhood started gathering at the house too and they beat up my sister and mother. They were the only people in the house,” he said.
“We tried our best to get her to confess her crime,” Sameer told The Express Tribune. As a member of the religious organisation, he said he could not tolerate any derogatory remarks about the Holy Prophet (pbuh).
Sameer added that he was very proud of his wife’s performance during the mob beating. “She beat Zahira more than anyone else. Her hand is so swollen that she hasn’t been able to make rotis since the day of the incident.
The women’s faces were blackened and they were made to wear necklaces of shoes and paraded around the locality on donkeys to humiliate them. He said the women denied blaspheming and repeatedly touched their feet seeking mercy.
Zameer Khan, an NGO worker, helped the family flee the locality after they were attacked. “Apparently there was no blasphemy, just an argument between two women,” he said.
He said after hearing of the incident, he had reached the scene to find the women being attacked. He said he had asked the mob if anyone had heard Zahira utter any blasphemous remarks, to which they all replied in the negative.

Training of Al-Qaeda Islamists underway in #pakistan to launch massive attacks in Canada
A dozen Canadians in al-Qaida training camps in Pakistan are preparing to mount terror missions in Canada.
A group of Canadian militants is receiving jihadi training in al-Qaida camps in North Waziristan for terror attacks in Canada.
12 Canadian men departed for Afghanistan last February and, after nine months there, al-Qaida dispatched them to the Darpakhel area of North Waziristan in November.
Their main learning is how to use sophisticated weapons, and how to connect with local smuggling networks in North America. They are also learning how to use ordinary material like sugar and basic chemicals to make powerful explosives. These militants will then return to their country to execute al-Qaida's plan of targeting big cities in Canada
three young Winnipeg men ventured abroad in 2007 after first undergoing conversion to radical Islam. They were tracked to Waziristan in pakistan.
North Waziristan has been a Taliban and al-Qaida stronghold for training militants and organizing attacks on NATO forces since western militaries drove the groups from Afghanistan in late 2001.

Pakistan has changed little in the more than 80 years since a carpenter killed a Hindu for allegedly publishing a book that insulted the Prophet Muhammad.
A country that was founded on the basis of religion remains in a dark morass presided over by insidious, violent ideologies.
The cancer of extremism is spreading in Pakistan -- from suicide bombings, to religiously motivated murders, to zero tolerance of moderates, and more - whose ideas are daily warping the minds of Pakistan's youth.
The country is still walking the path laid out by Jinah and Iqbal during the Ilmuddin case.

With the pakistan Army steadfastly refusing to confront the Taliban, with their medieval outlook & practices, controlling large swaths of Western pakistan, considering them to be their assets to be used against other nations for killings and destruction, there has been an increasing number of polio cases being reported from those areas of pakistan controlled by the Taliban, as they prevent any of the medical aid workers from administering the much needed polio vaccines to the children of the region.

Shadow over #pakistan security grows #terrorism
No proper system to detect extremists in pakistan's security forces
Documents, obtained by The Associated Press, highlight the danger of extremist infiltration into the security forces of Pakistan, like its Nuclear weapons possessing Army.
There is no psychological or personality test, or any other method to check on the background of personnel.
US officials have long worried about the loyalty of Pakistan’s security forces, especially the powerful army have participated in attacks in recent years.
In 2009, 10 men in military uniforms, who were reportedly led by a former army soldier, attacked army headquarters in Rawalpindi.
The process that preceded Qadri’s assignment to the US-trained Elite Force used to protect high-ranking officials and target terrorists indicates how dysfunctional law enforcement agencies are in detecting extremists.
Pakistan’s security forces are notoriously corrupt and lacking in resources, and hiring and firing often is determined by political influence.
“The army is an extension of society, so what happens in society affects the army,” said army spokesman Maj Gen Athar Abbas, a clear admission by a General that pakistan Army is now infested with radicalized Islamist recruit, of the kind that carried out the September 11 bombing of the World Trade Centre in USA.

For a society that prides it women for her virginity, marrying a pre-pubescent girl [often toddlers], thereby assuring her virginal status at time of marriage, & then subject her to sexual activities, thereby irreparably harming her undeveloped sexual organs is a rampant and widespread practice in the Islamic Republic of pakistan, sanctioned by majority of the religious leaders of that country.
Such acts in pakistan are not vociferously condemned, almost accepted as the norm, citing historical precedence as one of the Prophet Mohammad's [PBUH] favorite wives, Aisha, is believed to have been 9-years old at time of her marriage to him that was consummated not very long after.

Persecuted Muslims from Gowhar Shahi sect in #pakistan desperate to flee country #Islam #religion
Sustaining itself on aid provided by the highly intolerant Wahhabi Sunni Islamic kingdom of Saudi Arabia, pakistan's Sunni Muslim population in the overly-dominating Punjab province, backed by the pakistan Army, has been engaged in a systematic drive to oppress & discriminate against fellow Muslims in pakistan who follow a different sect of Islam. This in a country that was apparently created to protect Muslims of the Indian sub-continent against perceived domination of the Hindu majority residing in India, out of which pakistan itself was carved.
Ironically, it is in this Hindu-dominated India, where these Muslims have turned to for seeking refuge against the tyranny of the Sunni Punjabi Muslims in pakistan.
In a show of desperation to hide their pakistani nationality, these people, who reached India, burnt the flag of paksitan along with their passports & visas, effectively rendering them without a proof of nation they belong to.

India to ban import of cement from #pakistan Army's cement company
In a retaliatory measure & pressure tactic, India may ban import of cement from pakistan, a major export good for the country, in order to coax them to resume export of onions to India.
pakistan army's Fauji Cement Company Limited is the biggest manufacturer of cement in the country & in face of the moribund infrastructure development in pakistan, export of cement to India is a major source of income for these industries, which would be very badly hit if India goes ahead with its plan.

US Vice-President Joe Biden holds #pakistan responsible For Complacency In Fighting terrorists
Despite being given Billions of Dollars of US tax-payers money in aid & equipping them with the military hardware, otherwise not affordable to it, the pakistan Army, in sign of obdurate defiance continues to refuse to take credible and tangible action against the terrorists outfits like the Taliban, operating out of pakistan's territory, killing US & NATO troops stationed in Afghanistan, before scampering back into pakistani territory, where it receives both refuge and support from the pakistan Army - the very entity that is supposed to fight them.
@thejointstaff Admiral Mullen: #pakistan is the epicenter of #terrorism in the world right now
Quoting from the JCS's Speech
"I've said it before and I'll say it again it [Pakistan] is the epicenter of terrorism in the world right now, and it deserves the attention of everybody to do as much as we can to eliminate that threat. But we cannot succeed in Afghanistan without shutting down those safe havens."
"it was extremist groups operating in #pakistan who plotted recent terrorist attacks around the globe..."

#pakistan’s Real War is with the Poisonous Mindset Within by @BushraZulfiqar
In Pakistan, it seems so easy to kill political figures, and by extension anyone else, for their beliefs.
The ugliness of fundamentalist thought has become so bloody stark that it seems to have completely overtaken simple human decency and civilised actions.
Unless there is recognition and realisation about the extremist mindset that has embedded itself here, nothing is going to bring peace to this extraordinarily damaged and fractured country.
It is exactly this mindset (the lack of tolerance and acceptance) that is the real enemy Pakistan should be fighting every single day.
The extent to which Pakistan has been radicalised is even more obvious when examining the media. Many in the media have handled this tragic incident by either sitting on the fence and not openly condemning this horrific criminal act, or by giving a powerful pulpit to the voices of hate.
Justice needs to be done for all the people who have been killed by this destructive dinosaur.

[infographic] How #pakistan launders billions of dollars of US tax-payers money to China
Despite receiving billions of dollars of American tax-payers money as aid each year, pakistan chooses not to purchase American goods, which would have benefited American industries.
Instead, it chooses to plough this money into China, which has almost never gives any aid, per se, only extends a line of credit, far less than what US provides pakistan, for projects in pakistan, that serves China's economic interests more than pakistan's own.
Thus even while American businesses face closure due to the economic downturn, China's flourish and expand, due to the indirect largesse of the Americans themselves.
In #pakistan today, anybody could shoot you dead
Radical Islamists celebrating the assassination of a pakistani politician at the hands of his bodyguard.
Outrageous assassination elevates Pakistan to the Numero Uno crisis
A Washington mesmerized by entering a new domestic political era may not recognize it, but Pakistan should now be the major — certainly foreign — preoccupation for policymakers.
Despite perennial, massive foreign assistance, one of the world’s poorest economies is failing basic needs of 180 million people.
Pakistan’s history, beginning with its martyred first prime minister, is long on political violence.
Just as there are virtually daily terrorist incidents throughout the country, U.S. drones almost as frequently take out targeted jihadists in the tribal areas abutting Afghanistan.
All this takes place in the world’s 50th largest economy, where more than a quarter officially live “below the poverty line.” Corruption is an economic issue with only two million — mostly professionals and government workers — paying taxes. Rich landowners, who with the military are the regime’s backbone, are exempt from all agricultural taxes.
Islamabad last fall increased its defense budget by about $1.28 billion, partly for flood relief with the U.S. pledging $150 million.
A largely irrelevant debate between human rights advocates and realists is in the cards, while more chaos, and possibly even disintegration, waits in the wings.

#pakistan's elite silent after Taseer assassination #salmantaseer HT @mosharrafzaid
Rising tide of violent intolerant Islamism sweeping over the Islamic Republic of pakistan, encouraged, in part, by the all powerful pakistan Army, who stands to become even more powerful & remain influential in the event of the titular civilian government being unable to govern in face of rabid irrationality of its people, has ensured that the minuscule population of Rich Anglophone Pakistani Elite [the Tall, Fair, Tight A***d kind who eat wheat], is too cowed down with fear & terror to be able to voice any opposition to this march of pakistan towards a way of life reminiscent of the one being practised in the region after Muhammad Bin Qasim made his presence felt, with the power of his sword & accompanying Koran-carrying Mullahs.
Biden needs to get tough on #pakistan, experts say #Terrorism #America #USA
Despite receiving billions of Dollars of American tax-payer's money as aid to sustain its impoverished, terrorism infested country, the Islamic Republic of pakistan's Army continues to harbor & actively support & direct those terrorists who plot the murder and killing of American troops stationed in Afghanistan, fighting the pakistan-backed Taliban terrorists.
In fact, in a perverse twist of irony, this very money being poured by USA into pakistan enables them to continue killing American soldiers in Afghanistan.
American tax-payers are financing pakistan to kill US soldiers - possibly their own, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, daughters, sons - blood of US soldiers on American tax-payer's hands.

Balochistan freedom fighter Farza Bloch killed in targetted assasination by #pakistan Army HT @Dobroyeutro
In yet another incident of brutal barbarism by the pre-dominantly Sunni Punjabi Army of pakistan, activist Faraz Baloch, striving to secure Balochistan's freedom from pakistani occupation, has been shot dead, as part of the persistent low-intensity genocide being carried out by the pakistan Army, having learn its lesson from the frenzied pogrom it carried out in 1971, thereby bringing it to the immediate notice of the International community.
The slow pace of the genocide being carried out ensure that these crimes against humanity continue remain under the radar, away from the focus of the international community.
Baloch freedom fighters pleading NATO to deliver justice from #pakistan Army's tyrrany & oppression #humanrights
The Sunni Punjabi pakistan Army is engaged in a systematic campaign of suppressing the widespread freedom struggle being waged by the citizens of Balochistan againt the occupying Punjabi pakistanis on their land.
Driven by greed, the Punjabis of pakistan are looting the natural resources of this mineral-rich province, even while its indigenous Baloch citizens are languishing in utter neglect and depravation, with hardly any funds being allocated from the central govt, or more specifically, pakistan's de-facto controller, its Army.
Instead all the resources get diverted to the dominant Punjab province from which the Army draws almost all its recruits.
In order to suppress all voices of dissent and its freedom struggle, the Army uses extremely brutal and inhuman methods like extra-judicial killings, assassination, torture, rapes & sexual enslavement of Baloch women & pre-pubescent boys.
The Army also regularly resorts to flattening entire Baloch communities using high caliber artillery guns, used by other countries for fighting nations, & US-supplied Nuclear-capable F-16 fighter aircrafts.
Even while people express outrage over happenings in places like Afghanistan or Sudan, this systematic, cold-blooded genocide of the citizens of Baluchistan by the pakistan Army remains unspoken & unheard in the civilized world

Spreading Roots Of terrorism In #pakistan
The winds of Islamic terrorism generally blow from pakistan.
There are more instances of terrorism spreading to other parts of the world from pakistan than any other country. If one has to counter Islamic terrorism ideologically one has to start destroying its roots in pakistan. Islamic terrorists from all over the world tend to look upon pakistan as the ultimate sanctuary not only because of the favourable terrain in the tribal belt, but also because of their confidence that they will enjoy public and state support in pakistan.
Many institutions in pakistan have turned out to be the spawning grounds of terrorism and terrorism—- mosques, madrasas, the Army, the Air Force, the US-trained Special Services Group (SSG), the Elite Force of the Punjab Police etc. Some of these such as the SSG and the Elite Force were specially raised and trained to deal with terrorism and terrorism and to protect the VIPS. They have turned out to be the breeding grounds of the evils they were meant to fight.
If a threat erupts unexpectedly from the nuclear and missile establisment, what form will it take? Leakage of material and technology to the terrorists? Seizure of material and establishments by extremist trojan horses in order to use them for intimidation? Both possibilities are there, but a definitive assessment is rendered difficult because of a lack of data.
pakistani authorities have not taken any action to confront terrorism ideologically. Their pretense of reforming and modernizing the madrasas has allowed the madrasas to continue to produce terrorism and terrorism.
No attempt has been made to reduce the influence of Wahabi clerics in the Armed Forces and the Police.
The Wahabised clergy provide the religious justification for acts of terrorism and terrorism. In 1993, the Clinton Administration placed pakistan for six months in a list of suspected state sponsors of terrorism.
There has been no action against any other officer of the ISI despite strong suspicions of their being mixed up with the Jalaluddin Haqqani group.
The ISI has gone back to its old ways of inaction against extremist and terrorist organizations and the breeding grounds of terrorism.
There has hardly been any action by the pakistani authorities to counter terrorism ideologically. Factories of terrorism and jihad are once again sprouting, providing a never-ending flow of new recruits to the extremist and terrorist organizations.
A comprehensive strategy to force pakistan to act firmly against the breeding grounds of terrorism is the urgent need of the hour.
Terrorism is again on the forward march in pakistan.

Al-Qaeda affiliated Islamic terrorist set free in #pakistan #Terrorism
Qari Saifullah Akhtar has extensive ties to al-Qaida and other terrorist groups.
He is a self-declared warrior against U.S. and NATO troops in Afghanistan. He ran terrorist training camps there when the Taliban was in power.
Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, the top judicial official in Akhtar's native Punjab province, told The Associated Press he was released from four months of house arrest in early December because authorities finished questioning him in connection with the October 2007 attempted assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and found no grounds to charge him.
A number of militant groups active within Pakistan are headquartered in Punjab, where 60 percent of Pakistan's 170 million people live.
As part of Pakistan's battle with neighbor India, the military and intelligence helped train and arm militant groups who fought in the disputed Kashmir region. Many of those groups cut their teeth on guerrilla warfare in the U.S.-backed 1980s insurgent war against Russian soldiers in Afghanistan.
Akhtar is going to go back to the front lines of the fight against the United States.

"the way #pakistan is going, India should name Jinnah as the 'savior of the nation' for partition"
- @Calamur
The demise of #pakistan is inevitable #Terrorism #Religion
Its military establishment, hatred for India and history of injustice means Pakistan is a victim of the divisive logic that created it.
Pakistan's fight against the Taliban is an illusion. The world may view it as a battle for Pakistan's soul, but the generals in Rawalpindi, with whom real power rests, are not so sure. If they were, 200,000 of their finest fighters wouldn't be chewing grass on the eastern border with India while the so-called battle for Pakistan's survival rages on in the north-west.
Blackmailing the world by threatening imminent collapse is vintage Pakistan.
Having placed the burden of Pakistan's recovery from the mire of its own making on the world's shoulders, Zardari listed the "help" that his government expected: "billions of dollars".
From that delusional feudal megalomaniac Zulfi Bhutto's pledge to wage a "thousand-year war" against India to General Pervez Musharraf's desperate attempt in 1999 to nuke it, hatred of India has been the constitutive sine qua non for Pakistan's survival.
Pakistan continues to be defined by the struggle that created it – a struggle founded upon the premise that Muslims and Hindus cannot co-exist in one nation.
Pakistan cannot justify its existence as long as India accommodates religious diversity.
Created expressly to safeguard the Muslims of the subcontinent, Pakistan perpetrated the biggest genocide of Muslims since the arrival of Islam in south Asia. At least seven million East Pakistanis in what is now Bangladesh were slaughtered by West Pakistani soldiers within the space of a few months in 1971.
Pakistan represents state failure, religious extremism, terrorism, nuclear proliferation. Few dispensations have failed their people on the scale that Pakistan has: it exists solely to provide subsistence to the military establishment.
Within the next 20 years, Pakistan as we know it today will probably not exist.

#Pakistan: The moral collapse of a nation #terrorism #religion
The slow, agonised fissuring of the state of Pakistan is to be measured not only in bombs and the blood of innocents. Nor only by earthquakes and floods. It can be measured, too, by a moral collapse, a cowed ambivalence of the silent majority. Those who are too frightened to confront sectarian bigotry today will find themselves being consumed by it tomorrow. Benazir Bhutto, Salmaan Taseer, who is next?

In #pakistan, The Islamists Have Won #Terrorism
The formal Islamisation of Pakistan was initiated as early as 1949 by Liaquat Ali Khan, Pakistan’s first prime minister; the Objectives Resolution he introduced that March set out the core constitutional principles by which the new country would be governed. Among other things, it proclaimed that Allah, who held sovereignty “over the entire Universe”, had “delegated it to Pakistan”.
While the parliament and the supreme court built by the Greeks are frequently forced into abeyance, the one building that is always open for business in today’s Islamabad is a lavishly built mosque named after a Saudi despot who funded it.
Education was the principal target – textbooks were filled with myths; the study of “Islamiyat” was promoted at universities; a whole new discipline called “Pakistan Studies,” locating the country’s origins in the history of Islam, was created; and the army, particularly Ayub, was portrayed as its saviour.
To validate this myth, Ayub launched a war against India in 1965.
Stories about Pakistan’s forces being assisted by green-robed angels who deflected Indian bombs with a wave of their hand were circulating, as were legends about Pakistani soldiers shooting down Indian aircraft with Enfield rifles. Pakistanis weren’t just being invited to celebrate the valor of their soldiers – they were being told that their side had received celestial sanction.
The government has surrendered. Taseer’s killer is now a hero, beatified by Pakistan’s mullahs and televangelists. Dissent carries the death penalty. Historians will look back at the murder of Salman Taseer as the point at which Pakistan was irrecoverably lost to extremists.

#pakistan’s Nuclear weapons & the enemy within #Terrorism
Rising radicalization amongst pakistan's security establishment, as proven from the assassination of a prominent pakistani politician for voicing solidarity with a Christian women sentenced to death due to petty personal vendetta masquerading as Blasphemy, brings into sharp focus the real & imminent possibility of pakistan's Nuclear arsenal falling into the hands of Islamic terrorist outfits like the Al-Qaeda, who receive patronage from pakistan's all-powerful Army, & the same being used against Christian countries in the western world.

#pakistan origin gangs sexually exploiting white (Caucasian) school girls aged 11-16 yrs
Experts claim the statistics represent a mere fraction of a 'tidal wave' of offending in counties across the Midlands and the north of England which has been going on for more than a decade.
CCTV footage shows Mohammed Romaan Liaqat and Abid Mohammed Saddique, who were jailed last year for a string of sexual offences in Derby, cruising the streets in a BMW
Detective Chief Inspector Alan Edwards said: 'These girls are being passed around and used as meat.
'No one wants to stand up and say that Pakistani guys in some parts of the country are recruiting young white girls and passing them around their relatives for sex, but we need to stop being worried about the racial complication.'
In a briefing paper, researchers at University College London's Jill Dando Institute of Security and Crime Science concurred that victims were typically white girls while 'most central offenders are Pakistani'.
....the relationship quickly becomes more sinister as the abuser plies the child with drink and drugs before effectively pimping her out to friends and associates.
Three of the 56 were white, 53 were Asian. Of those, 50 were Muslim and a majority were members of the British Pakistani community.
Those convicted allegedly represent only a small proportion of what one detective called a ‘tidal wave’ of offending in Yorkshire, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and the Midlands.
The presiding judge Peter Kelson QC, told the men they were ‘sexual predators’, adding: ‘You had what you regarded as your fun. Now you will take your punishment.
'All five of you were convicted of sexual activity with a child. The clue is in the title: a child.’
.......a privately-educated schoolgirl who was forced into sex slavery aged 14 after being picked up by a gang in Rochdale, greater Manchester.

NOVEMBER 1997: LEEDS TAXI DRIVERS
Mohammed Naim Rashid, 21, was jailed for seven years and Abid Hussain Sadique, 21, for four by Leeds Crown Court in November 1997.
There were 20 victims, some as young as 12, who had been groomed for sex by a ring of private-hire drivers. They were abused in a room above the taxi office.
AUGUST 2007: BLACKBURN VICTIMS PASSED ROUND ABUSERS' FAMILIES
A police inquiry into grooming of girls as young as 12 eventually led to the conviction of Zulfqar Hussain, 46, and Qaiser Naveed, 32.
They targeted two 14-year-olds in the care of social services, plying them with drink an drugs before having sex with them in a BMW and a flat.
The victims were also offered to brothers, uncles and friends for sex.
Both were jailed for five years and eight months on charges including abduction, sexual activity with a child and supplying drugs.
FEBRUARY 2010: ROCHDALE VICTIM, 16, RAPED BY THREE MEN WHILE FOURTH TOOK PICTURES
Ajmal Afridi, 19, Imitiaz Syed, 20, Tayub Hussain, 19, Mustafa Arshad, 17, and Mohammed Usman Raja, 20, were all jailed for their part in the assault.
The girl was given whisky and possibly sleeping tablets before being raped by Afridi, Syed and Hussain while Arshad took pictures.
She was later found wandering the streets.
More than 100 police officers were involved in Operation Retriever, which identified 27 victims, 22 of whom were white.
Siddique and Liaqat targeted their victims on the streets of Derby while driving in a BMW.
They then exchanged number, invited them to parties and fed them drugs and alcohol before handing them to older men for sex.
The abuse, which took place in bushes, cars and houses was filmed for the men to share.

[Video] #pakistan Army soldiers brutalisng, slaughtering & butchering unarmed civilians #NSFW
Soldiers of the pakistani Army, which receives billions of dollars in aid from foreign donors like the USA & European Union, are engaged in a systematic campaign of brutal torture and mass butchering of civilians, trying to create an impression in front of the whole world that it is engaged in a battle against Islamic terrorism, the one it itself has been nurturing and supporting.
However, the stark fact remains that the real Islamic terrorists continue to operate under the protection of the pakistan Army to do its bidding – spreading anarchy & killing NATO troops fighting in Afghanistan. The ones being so mercilessly tortured and then slaughtered are all innocent civilian populations whose only fault was that they happened to living in the area where the pakistan Army has relocated the Taliban & Al-Qaeda terrorists under their care.
So instead of targeting these Al-Qaeda terrorists & Taliban barbarians, the army targets the innocents civilian population & extract forced confessions from them, for crimes they have never committed.
Thus even while Al-Qaeda & Taliban continue to flourish and wreck havoc in Afghanistan, thanks to its benefactor, the pakistan Army, the Army has been able to show these falsified and concocted evidence of their action against the terrorists, they never even raised a finger against.
Time for the world community to evaluate if they wish to continue funding the pakistan Army, filling its coffers with military equipment & cash riches, even while it engages in planning & carrying out attacks to kill your soldiers in Afghanistan.

Think Tank report: #pakistan will collapse due to its own contradictions #violence #terrorism
In their recent study on "The Future of Pakistan", analysts of Strategic Foresight Group at the International Centre for Peace Initiatives have observed that the Pakistan State is in the danger of imploding as it tries to balance disparate social forces in an effort to survive.
The growing influence of extremist elements, rising unemployment triggered by an economic slide and a looming clash of interests over water resources between provinces in a predominantly agrarian society, these analysts say, provides a perfect setting for an economy of violence to flourish under the tutelage of "jehadi" groups.

The governor of Pakistan's Punjab province, Salman Taseer, has died after being shot in the Pakistani capital Islamabad.
Mr Taseer, a senior member of the ruling Pakistan People's Party (PPP), was shot near a market popular with wealthy Pakistanis and foreigners.
He was taken to hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police say he was shot by a member of his own security detail as he got out of his car.
Mr Taseer had recently spoken out against the country's blasphemy law.

Over 100 Hindu families desperate to flee #pakistan to escape persecution & oppression
These families are unlikely to find any support from a multi-religious India, where politicians practice a unique form of political correctness, which involves not looking after the welfare of the minority Hindu populations present around the world, in *their* belief that doing so would alienate India's Muslim population away from them.
A better solution for them would be to convert to Roman Catholic Christianity & appeal to the Vatican.

US officials to monitor & control #pakistan's airports to prevent attacks by Islamic terrorists on America
The US has sought access to records of all passengers flying out from Pakistan and permission to deploy American security officials at airports as part of an effort to prevent terror suspects reaching its soil.
These developments increasingly point towards the Islamic Republic of pakistan's status as a rentier state for the USA, currently sustaining itself on the billion of dollars of American tax payers money it has been receiving in aid each year, with no significant source of its own income & whatever little it manages to generate, diverting them towards the spread & support of Islamic Terrorism around the world.

#pakistan's non-Muslim population was abandoned & wilfuly neglected during during floods #pkfloods #Christianity
Even a natural calamity, of epic proportions [or so they claim - some suggest they are actually inflating & exaggerating the actual scale of damage caused by the floods to extract more money from their international donors to fill up the coffers of their rich feudal land owners & military Generals who control that country] failed to remove the deep rooted prejudices, hatred & intolerance harbored by pakistan's Muslim population towards Non-Muslims, even those who are their fellow citizens of pakistan.
This feeling of hatred towards Non-Muslims, including the Shia & Ahmediyya Muslims is a result of concerted state-backed effort of pakistan's Army-backed Mullahs & Maulavis to create an illusion of superiority amongst the dominant Sunni Punjabi population after failing to create any genuine sense of superiority - the one that is backed by actual achievements & real tangible progress.

Sportsman from #pakistan rids himself of his pakistani citizenship, becomes S African citizen
Former Pakistan A legspinner Imran Tahir has been granted South African citizenship and is in contention for his newly adopted country's World Cup squad.
The rapidly deteriorating situation in the Islamic Republic of pakistan has triggered a near exodus of its citizens out of the country, with people willing to do all it takes to escape the increasingly virulent Islamist state, often going to the extent of hiding their nationality by calling themselves Indians or identifying themselves as merely "South Asians".

#pakistan "World's Deadliest Country" in 2010 - worse than #Afghanistan #fact
Amid a rash of suicide attacks, Pakistan became the world’s deadliest country for the press in 2010, with at least eight journalists killed there in connection with their work, constituting a significant portion of the worldwide death toll, the Committee to Protect Journalists said in its year-end analysis.
Six of the eight fatalities in Pakistan were caused by suicide attacks or crossfire during militant strikes.
Suicide attacks were a scourge for the Pakistani press throughout the year. More than two dozen other Pakistani journalists were injured in such attacks in 2010, CPJ research shows.
The deaths of at least eight journalists in Pakistan are a symptom of the pervasive violence that grips the country.
For many years, journalists in Pakistan have been murdered by militants and abducted by the government.
The greatest risk is simply covering the news. Journalists must put their lives on the line to cover a political rally, a street demonstration, or virtually any major public event. This is a deeply troubling.
P.S: While the day may hold great significance to kaffirs of the world, it is just another day for the bious people like me - which side are you on?
