These families are unlikely to find any support from a multi-religious India, where politicians practice a unique form of political correctness, which involves not looking after the welfare of the minority Hindu populations present around the world, in *their* belief that doing so would alienate India's Muslim population away from them.
A better solution for them would be to convert to Roman Catholic Christianity & appeal to the Vatican.
